Neil & Lorrianne, Austin Wedding

This is one of my favorite weddings and I’m ashamed to say I never shared it on my previous blog and website. Back then I felt social media was the best platform to share my recent work and wedding stories on, but now in 2022 I believe my website is. I’m excited to showcase many of my past weddings here in the long-form presentation they deserve.

I met Neil on the University of Arizona Triathlon Team back in 2008 and we spent much of our college days together in a speedo. He was a rockstar on the bike and run, and me…well not so much. I’m just not built for land activities; give me aquatic recreation any day of the week. Neil is a true friend and it was an easy “hell yes” decision to photograph his wedding to Lorrianne nearly a decade later in 2017.

Neil and Lorrianne adore travel. They live in Houston, but I shot their engagement session in Charleston and they chose Ma Maison just outside Austin as the setting for their wedding. They had family from all around the country and Israel who flew in for the occasion.

“Oh this picture would be awesome, let’s do it,” was the theme of the day. I wish I could take credit for how well these two photograph, but it’s really of their own making. Their friends and IG followers can attest to the fact that these two manage to take a million amazing and cute photos by themselves on a rather consistent basis. To this day, Lorrianne is still the only bride I’ve had who rode a horse into her ceremony, and Neil the only groom I’ve had willing to let his groomsmen throw him into the air for a drone photo. Add to this a food truck rehearsal dinner, garden-side ketubah signing, live band, wild hora, and sparkler exit to get a sense for their full celebration. Some of my favorite images below.
