Quintessential Pittsburgh Engagement
Engagement photos at Mellon Park, Mellon Institute, and the North Shore.
Mellon Park is a top photo spot in town, and for good reason. It’s fountain and gardens are the remains of the former Richard B. Mellon estate. Complete with sixty rooms, this was the largest mansion ever to be built in Pittsburgh. While it’s sad to think of its demolition in the 1940’s, the resulting park we have now is a true gem. On a hill between the Shadyside and Point Breeze neighborhoods, it’s a lovely location both topographically and to commute to. The gardens themselves were designed in 1912, and I’m glad I’m able to borrow some of their old world beauty for sessions like this one.
Mellon Park is strong enough for a one-location engagement session, but sometimes you want to go all out. Jessica & Kevin live in Baton Rouge and wanted to make the most of their trip and photoshoot.
